I have the misfortune of owning an evil and vindictive bastard cat, who, for reasons unknown, decided to take a piss in my open 1st edition Gloomhaven box. I had it
...Plus open whilst I was reorganising and waiting for the YY-Guys excellent monster box prints (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2797796) to finish. Now luckily, I'd sleeved the cards and left them in the plastic bags inside the character boxes so they were undamaged - however, the cardboard character boxes are now totally ruined with dried cat pee.
As such, I needed a new character storage solution, which I based off https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2797796. I decided to flatten the lid and emboss each one with a large character symbol, and provide room to store the sleeved character cards, a complete set of sleeved modifier cards (i.e. 20 standard modifier + the character specific cards), the character board and the character sheets. I also provided a pocket to store the tiny character tokens. There's space enough left to store some coins as well.
Rather than print the character icon on the top side of the box, I chose to provide a slot in the top of the base to glue on a separately printed circular character icon.
Needless to say, I have decided to eat the cat.
07/07/2018 - Note that this is still a work in progress, as I have only printed the Scoundrel box and lid. I haven't printed the character icons yet, so they may need shrinking to fit in the slot.
20/07/2018 - Note, that you will need to scale the character icons slightly to get them to fit in the slot. I printed the icons with a 0.25mm nozzle and scaled them to 98.9%, and they fit perfectly. I haven't tried it with a standard 0.4mm nozzle, but I'd expect a similar scaling will be necessary. I'll update the STL files at some point.
03/10/2018 - Uploaded repaired character box lids and a box variant allowing two sets of horizontal small cards. The box size is identical to the original design. Note, that these slots should fit the MayDay Mini Euro sleeved cards.
